This The Lab Co. non-bio, fragrance-free fabric conditioner comes in a 1 litre plastic bottle with a flip-top lid. I’m not particularly keen on the bottle; I find it easier to pour by completely removing the lid before use. On the label it recommends using between 25 and 40 m per wash, depending on the size of your load and/or how hard your water is. I live in a hard water area, so I've been using 40 ml per load. Using 40 ml per load, you'll only get 25 loads out of the bottle; using 25 ml per wash will give you the 40 loads as advertised. It leaves my laundry feeling lovely and soft, and it hasn't caused any irritation or flare-ups to my sensitive/eczema-prone skin. It’s a good quality, eco-friendly fabric softener (but a little pricey if you live in a hard water area and only get 25 loads per bottle). Thank you for taking the time to read my review. I hope you found it helpful.
I stopped using fabric softener 10 years ago. It's full of chemicals and plastics that are bad for us, including strong synthetic perfumes which probably contain harmful phthalates, and which pollute our rivers and seas. Instead I've been adding white vinegar to the final rinse which is good for my washing machine, hard water and not harmful to health.Unfortunately, my latest Miele washing machine uses so little water that even after 4 extra rinses , my laundry is crunchy with left over detergent. The last Miele washing machine I will ever buy.So I wanted the extra softening of a fabric conditioner for bedding mainly.I've been using this for a couple of weeks and it works very well. Only a small amount required. It also has antimicrobial action which is nice since doggo sometimes sleeps on our bed.It doesn't specify no plastics but it is no silicone (nasty forever chemical), no parabens.Cottons are lovely and soft.I don't use on all my laundry because fewer unnecessary household products are even better than green ones. But I will definitely be buying this again as well as trying some of this Danish company's other more eco products. Can recommend.PS. I put pure essential oils on a cotton face cloth and add this to the last 20 or 30 minutes of my drying cycle with the dryer on low heat, which gives best results. So much nicer and healthier than nasty synthetic fragrances though smells don't last as long without the nasty chemicals. This works better for me than adding to the last washing machine rinse. You also get your favourite smells.Hope that helps!
I love this product. It leaves clothes soft and for me without the fake perfume smell, it is perfect. My husband suffers from strong perfume chemicals detergents or fabric softeners that make him cough and trigger his asthma so this is perfect for him and as described.Even though it was not perfumed but still after was our clothes smelled fresh and natural. It does have a thick consistency which I like and it leaves clothes feeling soft and fresh. Fleecy cloth and towels get velvety after washing. This product is good for sensitive skin and especially for small babies and is reasonably priced too. As someone who is chemically sensitive like me and strong scents trigger your asthma like my husband then this The Lab Co. fabric softener is a life changer for them.Great fabric softener with NO smell.
